The Academy of Chocolate Awards attract entries from producers all over the world and recognise some of the world's finest chocolates. They are judged by the Academy of Chocolate and by a panel of international journalists, chefs, pastry chefs and experts in chocolate and food.
In 2015, we entered the Academy of Chocolate awards for the first time, and two of our chocolate products have won prizes:
- "London" (Stout Caramel) won a Silver award in the "Best Filled Chocolate – Caramel" category.
- "Boston" (Peanut & Raspberry) won a Bronze award in the "Best Filled Chocolate – Other" category.
In 2016, we won 3 awards:
- "Hong Kong" (Soy Caramel) won the Silver award in the "Filled Chocolate – Other Caramel" category. This chocolate also won a bronze award at the International Chocolate Awards World Final in 2016.
- "New York" (Apple & Calvados Caramel) won the Bronze award in the "Filled Chocolate – Other Caramel" category. This chocolate won a Gold award at the International Chocolate Awards World Final in 2016.
- "San Francisco" (Mandarin & Star Anise) won the Bronze award in the "Filled Chocolate - Layered" category.
In 2017, we won 2 more awards:
- "Sydney" (Mint & Miso) won a Silver award in the "Filled Chocolate – Fruit, Floral, Spice or Infusion Ganache" category.
- "Bogota" (Coffee Panela Caramel) won a Bronze award in the "Filled Chocolate - Other Caramel" category.
In 2018, we have decided that we would not enter this competition if we are involved with the judging, to avoid any conflict of interest. Both Albert and Russell have participated in judging bonbons, flavoured bars and bean-to-bar/tree-to-bar chocolates since 2018.
