Apple Frangipane Soy Caramel Tart

This is a recipe from one of our customers, Daryl. She used our Soy Caramel sauce and made an Apple Frangipane Tart with it. You can enjoy the tart warm with ice cream or cold with creamy thick Greek natural yogurt .... Or on its own with a coffee!! Here's her recipe:

 Apple Fragipane Tart with Soy Caramel


  • Shop-bought Shortcrust Pastry
  • 4oz butter
  • 4oz golden castor sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3oz ground almonds
  • 1oz plain flour
  • Almond extract
  • 3-4 Apples, thinly sliced
  • Soy Caramel Sauce


  1. Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees Celcius

  2. Bake pastry case blind for 10 mins

  3. Make fragipane: Mix butter and sugar in large bowl and blend using a handheld blender, then add eggs, ground almond, flour and a few drops of almond extract.

  4. Put frangipane in pastry case, arrange thinly sliced apples

  5. Bake in oven 20 - 30 mins till golden brown.

  6. Leave to cool and drizzle the warmed soy caramel sauce (warm in microwave for 10-20 seconds makes it easier to pour) over the apples..... Sprinkle over crushed pecans or walnuts as extra treat!!
