This year is the fifth year of the British national competition for International Chocolate Awards. We have been participating in this competition every year since 2015, and we have been lucky to have won awards every year.
The results of this year's competition just came out earlier today and we are pleased that we have won 4 awards this year, including 3 new flavours that we have already released this year:
- Silver for our "Shanghai" (Sesame Crunch) in the nut based pralines with milk chocolate category
- Silver for our "Oslo" (Salt Caramel in Milk Chocolate) in the milk chocolate enrobed caramels category
- Bronze for our "Stockholm" (Salt & Malt Caramel in White Chocolate) in the milk chocolate enrobed caramels category (well, there's no white chocolate enrobed caramels category in the competition, and so it's got assigned to this category!)
The 4th flavour will be officially released in October - it'll make its first UK appearance at the Brighton Chocolate Festival on 12-13 October. We have named this chocolate "Seville" and the flavour is Bitter Orange Marmalade, and it's won a Silver in the ganaches or truffles using mixed dark/milk/white for coating and fillings category.
As a result of the latest awards, we have to update our "Flavour Journey Planner" again - as you can see, most of our filled chocolates have won awards, either at International Chocolate Awards, Academy of Chocolate awards or Great Taste awards. This year we have only entered International Chocolate Awards as we have participated in the judging for the other 2 competitions.
You can find a full list of all the winners on the International Chocolate Awards website.
