We often get asked whether our packaging materials are recyclable or biodegradable, so here's some information about the different materials you find in our packaging. If you have any further questions, please get in touch.
If your order comes in a cardboard box, you will find these white materials filling the void in the box, in order to provide some impact protection to the package. These are made from starch material, and is fully compostable and biodegradable. they are fully soluble when saturated with water which takes away this issue of litter. This starch material also conforms to EN13432.
Our chocolate boxes are made with paper and cardboard, and so can be recycled like normal paper.
The clear trays holding our filled chocolates are made with rPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate), a category 3 recyclable material, but you should check with your local facilities on whether they can recycle them.
